Material selection
1. Aluminium foil packaging bags: These bags offer excellent sealing properties, oxygen barrier properties, and moisture retention, helping to maintain the freshness of coffee and extend its shelf life. They are suitable for packaging coffee beans and ground coffee, particularly effective in protecting speciality coffee beans.
2. Composite material packaging bags: These offer better cost-effectiveness and more flexible design options, and are widely used for packaging coffee beans, powder, tea, candy, and other food products. Common composite material combinations include PET/AL/PE, PET/VMPET/PE, PET/PE, and KPET/PE, all of which provide excellent oxygen barrier properties and moisture retention.
printing process
Printing processes play a crucial role in determining the visual appeal and quality of coffee bags. Common printing techniques include embossing, gravure printing, screen printing, foil stamping (gold or silver), and lamination.
1. Embossing: The printed design is raised, creating a three-dimensional and layered effect.
2. Gravure printing: The printed design is recessed, resulting in a smoother and more refined surface on the packaging.
3. Screen printing: Suitable for printing large-area patterns and text, with vibrant colours that are resistant to fading.
4. Foil stamping (gold/silver): Adds a metallic texture and luxurious feel to the packaging.
5. Laminating: Enhances the packaging's durability and water resistance while improving visual appeal.
